Have you ever been to church or tried to read the Bible and thought “what does that mean?” or “what relevance does that have today?”
Thorndon Home group provides the opportunity to have those questions answered.
Thorndon Home Group is a group of individuals who meet on a Tuesday evening in local homes. They read a section of the Bible then discuss it, pulling out its meaning and relevance, very often meandering around the topic. Prayers are said for people or situations that need God’s help and the group finish with tea/coffee, biscuits and a chat.
Organised by Kim, she says about the group "I must say that, as a rule, I laugh more on a Tuesday evening than I do on the rest of the week put together. It’s a relaxed way of learning about or deepening our faith, and the friendships made are very special."
Any age is welcome and please bring along whichever version of the Bible you have, alternatively, a copy will be available to borrow.
Home Group starts at 7:30pm and ends around 9:30pm, contact Kim for more details on 678250 (the answerphone will take a message if she's outside)
